The "people care" ethic in Permaculture embraces social justice to ensure that people not only have access to life giving resources, but also the ability to actualize food and land sovereignty. We must take into account intersectionality and work towards reparations and liberation for land and people.

We support the work and struggle of BIPoC communities who have been leading the movement towards Black Liberation. We recognize that we, a white team, have had access to opportunities and privileges not afforded to BIPoC communities and believe in doing our part to contribute to reparations. Here are some of the organizations we love and support, as well as a spreadsheet of resources for white people in unlearning racism. Thank you for joining us in the work of social justice: Wealth Redistribution for BLACK People in Vermont, JAG Productions, The Root Social Justice Center, The SUSU Healing Collective, Safe Spaces for BIPOC, Anti Racism Resources

We grieve the losses of our siblings and support the struggle for liberation. Black Lives Matter.

Rematriation Efforts
In solidarity with the Abenaki peoples, on whose land we live, work, and grow, this season we are unrolling a financial contribution to support local indigenous people and traditions. We will be making quarterly donations of 5% of all of our proceeds to the Winter Center for Indigenous Traditions, a nonprofit organization working to preserve indigenous traditions, land, and culture. WCIT is a 501c3 located here in the Upper Valley.
